Printer and receipt

NOTIWOO can print the receipt for each order automatically or on demand. Everything is controlled from Settings, under the Printer card.

Printer details

  • Printer name — the exact name your operating system uses for the printer (for example EPSON TM-T20).
  • Printer type — currently WINDOWS (printers installed on the system).
  • Communication port — optional, only if your printer requires it (e.g. 9600).
Don't know the exact name?

Open your system's printer settings and copy the name as it is, including spaces and capitalization.

  • Receipt header — text shown at the top (usually the venue name, address and phone).
  • Receipt footer — text shown at the bottom (thank-you note, web, social handles…).
  • Top margin — blank space before the content starts printing.
  • Number of copies — how many times each order is printed (minimum 1). Handy if you need one copy for the kitchen and another for the floor.

Automatic printing

Turn on "Enable automatic printing for new orders" if you want the receipt to come out without you pressing anything. Every incoming order will print on its own.

Several stations, one printer

If you have NOTIWOO open on multiple devices, keep automatic printing enabled only on the device connected to the printer. The rest will get the alert but won't print duplicates.

What to include on the receipt

A series of checkboxes lets you show or hide every block of the ticket. The most common ones are enabled by default.

Billing details

  • Show billing details (master toggle)
    • Address
    • City
    • Postal code

Disabling the master toggle automatically disables its sub-options.

Shipping details

  • Show shipping details (master toggle)
    • Address
    • City
    • Postal code

Order information

  • Order type — Pickup or Delivery.
  • Payment method — Cash, Wire transfer, Card terminal, etc.
  • Customer note — the comment they left on the order.

Totals

  • Subtotal
  • Discount
  • Taxes
  • Fees — additional charges (delivery surcharge, supplements…).
  • Total
Shorter receipts

If you print high volume, disable the blocks you don't use to save paper and keep the ticket clean.

Save

Click Save at the bottom right. You'll see a success or error notice. Changes apply to the next incoming order.

Test printing

  1. Save the changes.
  2. Open any order from Orders.
  3. Click Print order in the detail view.
  4. Check that the receipt is well aligned and contains the information you expect.

If you see "An error occurred while printing", check:

  • The printer is on and has paper.
  • The name, type and port match the system exactly.
  • No other app is blocking the printer.
