Categories

Categories group your products and appear both in the store and in the filters on the Products screen.

Tree view

NOTIWOO shows categories as a hierarchical tree: root categories appear at the top level, and each one can contain subcategories. Click the arrow on a category to expand or collapse its children.

Each node shows:

• Name and slug
• Parent category (if any)
• Number of products assigned
• Actions to edit or delete

Create and edit

Click New category and fill in:

• Name (required)
• Slug (auto-generated if you leave it blank)
• Parent category (optional, to create a subcategory)
• Description

When you edit an existing category you can move it under another parent by changing that field.

Delete

Clicking the delete icon opens a confirmation. Deleting a category that has products leaves them uncategorized — it does not delete the products.

A good category structure makes the Orders and Statistics filters far more useful. Take a minute to review your tree before you start.
